The ACN Regional Workshop has a powerful lineup of speakers, professional development and networking opportunities on November 19 at the Lindsay Corporate Offices, 18135 Burke St in Elkhorn, Nebraska.
“This is a well-rounded group of speakers and we hope that no matter what career stage our members are in, they can bring something home that resonates and helps them,” says Liz Hodges, chair of the ACN Regional Workshop committee and Nebraska Farmer field editor.
Speakers and topics include:
- Eric Braun, Farm Progress, Enhance Headlines for SEO
- Bill Dodd, Market Journal, Collecting Quality Video
- Travis Heying, Wichita Eagle, Photography Insights
- Lei Guo, and Cassie Mallette, University of Nebraska-Omaha, Ethical AI in Journalism
- Newsmaker Panel: Capitalizing on Biofuel Opportunities
- Matthew Hansen, Flatwater Free Press, Storytelling
“We’re pulling speakers from across the industry, from universities, ACN membership, non-profit journalism and conventional journalism,” says Hodges, who was joined on the Committee by Pam Caraway, Joel Reichenberger and Betty Haynes.
New this year, Rockbrook Camera will offer camera sensor cleaning the day of the workshop for just $80.
The price is $115 for members, $250 for non-members and $49 for students. That includes the workshop, breakfast and lunch. The event begins at 8 a.m. with registration and concludes at 4 p.m. There is plenty of time for networking and inspiration built into the schedule.
“I’m excited it’s coming together,” Hodges adds. “This should be really good.”
The headquarters hotel is the Aloft Omaha West, 215 South 181st St., Omaha, NE. Make reservations by calling (531) 772-0247.
