The Ag Communicators Network is the premier professional organization for communicators across the spectrum of agricultural communications — from editors, writers and photojournalists to designers and public relations professionals.
The leaders and members of this group have done an amazing job of dragging me out of my comfort zone with their requests, allowing me to grow in ways I likely wouldn’t have without their intervention. I’m so grateful for the personal growth that has resulted from the seeds they planted.
As the organization has evolved, I’ve been excited and challenged by the exposure to the work of other members, and the glimpses I get “behind the scenes” of said work. Their talent and resourcefulness inspire me to be better for my clients, and that’s besides the more formal professional development opportunities.
Overall, I appreciate being part of an organization made up of other agricultural journalists of all ages who I can learn from as I continue in my career.
Types of Membership
You are an individual working for a general or specialized agricultural publication or media outlet published in the United States or Canada and which either (1) has paid circulation and/or (2) accepts paid advertising. The media outlet’s primary source of funding is either paid circulation or paid advertising. Your primary job function is media and content creation.
Value = $260
You are engaged in content creation, photography, video, design, digital and social media, blogging or other communications work directly related to publishing content about agriculture or food. Individuals engaged in agricultural communications work for a governmental agency, an educational institution, a non-profit institution or foundation, or an agribusiness company are eligible for associate membership.

You are employed by an agribusiness company, marketing and public relations agency, commodity organization, government agency, or if you support ACN but do not have an editorial or content generation function. Communicators who primarily advocate for a position or are sponsored content providers are eligible for partner membership.

Retired memberships are available for editorial, associate and partner members who are retiring and at least 62 years of age.

You are studying agricultural communications, journalism, business, or a related, approved field full-time at a college or university. You plan to work in the ag sector after graduation, in a role similar to our editorial or associate members. Student members receive access to all ACN member benefits plus exclusive opportunities like our membership program, resume dispersal, webinars and student discounts. Student members may participate in ACN meetings and discussions but do not have a vote on business matters.
