I was super surprised when I was awarded the distinction of AAEA Fellow, and extremely humbled. What was even more special was that Den Gardner, the person who gave me my first job, and my long-time mentor, was also given the honor this year! To be recognized among this group of people who I’ve admired my entire career and some of whom I consider my closest friends gives me a feeling I don’t think will ever be topped in my career.
I was on staff at AAEA when the first class of Fellows was awarded in 2016, which you can find here. These are my people. And I can only hope that I have as positive of an influence on young people in our industry as my fellow Fellows have had on me.
