By: Kenna Rathai, ACN Board Member and VP of Public Relations at broadhead
Registration for Ag Media Summit opened earlier this week! If you’re not signed up yet, you’ll want to after reading about these speakers. The AMS Program Committee is still working on filling out what will be an outstanding and diverse lineup of speakers, but here’s a preview of some so far:
Karen Ross was a Nebraska farm kid who grew up to be the Secretary of California’s Department of Food and Agriculture. She’s been Secretary since 2011. Read her bio on the California Department of Agriculture website.
Matt Booth is our keynote speaker! He’ll inspire you to live an incredible life and attitude by communicating effectively, taking care of yourselves, and having a plan. He will lead two break-out sessions. The first will give attendees tools and techniques to improve your ability to communicate information clearly and succinctly to connect with others. The second one is geared toward ACT students and young professionals on goal setting and chasing your dreams.
More sessions will be announced soon, but here is who we have confirmed so far:
- What’s in My Bag by Jamie Cole, who takes us inside a video storyteller’s bag to get the right video, no matter what the assignment is and where it is.
- Difficult On-Farm Photo Situations and How to Overcome Them by Kate Baer
- Images @ Work in Social Media by Morgan Boecker, who shares what types of images and graphics work across different platforms.
- Making PR Lemonade Out of Lemons – Hear from PR pros about their careers’ past challenges and how they overcame them.
- How Companies Can Inflation-Proof Their Marketing Budgets by Dan Mandle, who shares real-life examples on how to analyze the impact media and marketing spend has and overcome pitfalls of Google analytics.
