Call for IFAJ Memories to Celebrate 70th Anniversary – Submit your photos and stories this month
We have two invitations as we mark IFAJ’s 70th anniversary year.
IFAJ is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, and the communications committee is documenting the history with a collection of personal stories for the IFAJ website and a full-color anniversary book. Both projects are now open for submissions.
Share Your IFAJ Memories

Long-time members are invited to contribute personal reflections from their years of involvement. The committee is not looking for formal histories. We want the human side of IFAJ: the characters, the humor, the unexpected cultural encounters, the friendships formed, and the small details that never made it into official reports. Think about trips that stayed with you, conversations that changed your perspective, or moments that summed up a particular congress or era.
Submissions should be between 500 and 1,000 words, and accompanying photographs are welcome. The soft deadline is mid-May, though stories can be posted to the IFAJ website throughout the anniversary year.

Submit Your Best Agricultural Photography

High-quality images are needed to accompany the written contributions already received for the 70th anniversary book. Selected photographs will be featured in the full-colour international publication alongside the photographer’s name and country.
Images that align with the book’s themes are particularly welcome: life on the land, heritage and tradition, farming under pressure, innovation and adaptation, and the next generation of agriculture. All strong agricultural images will be considered.
Photos should be recent (preferably from the last five years), high resolution, and suitable for print. Only submit images you have taken yourself with appropriate permissions for use. Send a small selection of your strongest work with captions and credits.
The deadline for photo submissions is May 25, and it will not be extended.
