IFAJ’s Portal, a members-only online resource, is live and growing every day. Your membership in AAEA/The Agricultural Communicators Network makes you a member of the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists. That allows you to access the Portal’s features, including:
- A member directory
- Discussion forums
- Press card information
- IFAJ information archives
- An IFAJ photo library
- Information resources from around the world (coming soon)
One of the most exciting elements in the Portal is the discussion forum, where IFAJ members can share their thoughts on a wide range of topics. Our inaugural forums include a discussion on the future of agricultural journalism hosted by Chris McCullough of Northern Ireland and a Freedom of the Press forum hosted by Micke Godtfredsen of Finland. Sign in and join the conversation.
It just takes a few moments to set up an account on the Portal, which will be approved by AAEA/The Agricultural Communicators Network to provide you with full member access if you have paid your AAEA membership for this year. Looking for a freelancer? Check the member directory. Seeking a source for perspective on what’s going on in a country you are covering? That’s in the member directory, too. Interested in how COVID-19 is affecting fellow agricultural journalists? Check out the discussion forums.
IFAJ’s website, ifaj.org, is full of news, insight and professional development webinars and articles — and the new Portal allows you to dig deeper. Visit portal.ifaj.org, set up your account, and enjoy your exploration of the wide world of agricultural journalism.
