In addition to her term as AAEA president in 2004, Freese has volunteered her time and served on a number of committees, including the AAEA Membership committee. All this, while moving up the ranks to become executive editor of Successful Farming Magazine and Living the Country Life video and web publications.

Katie Navarra is an award-winning writer based in Upstate New York. She grew up on a family-run vegetable farm that included retail greenhouses. She taps into her agricultural roots and wordsmithing skills to support the agriculture industry.
She also provides custom leadership development coaching experiences with people using horses, and in traditional settings. She is an accredited coach through the International Coaching Federation and a certified E3A Equine Facilitator.
