Proposed Membership Categories Webinar Recording and FAQ’s Available

by Carly Byrd | May 25, 2018 | The ByLine, Webinar

The AAEA membership task force and Board of Directors hosted a webinar discussion on newly proposed membership categories on May 14.  Amy Roady, AAEA membership chair led discussion by giving background on how the task force came to land on these potential categories and then described them in full.  To listen to the full webinar (approx. 30 minutes) CLICK HERE.

In hopes of addressing any common concerns, the board also recently developed a set of Frequently Asked Questions about the proposed membership categories.  View them HERE.

A change in membership categories requires amendments to the AAEA constitution.  The constitution is amended by a vote of the members physically present at the annual membership business meeting. This membership meeting will take place  at  the 2018 Ag Media Summit in Scottsdale, Arizona on Tuesday, August 7. A conference call line will be open for comments from those who cannot attend in person, but votes will not be accepted via conference call. More details to come.

For questions, please contact Julie Deering, AAEA President, at [email protected] or Amy Roady, Membership Chair, at [email protected] or 618-535-7937. You may also provide feedback on these membership categories HERE.
