Rachel Lium is a recent graduate from Iowa State University. She joined AAEA in 2016 after attending Ag Media Summit. Rachel is now a Young Professionals Taskforce Co-Chair, and has been vital in helping to promote and facilitate various webinars the special interest group has hosted.
Why did you join AAEA?
I joined AAEA to learn from the best of the best in agricultural communications, keep on top of the latest trends and issues, and stay connected to the agriculture industry.
What do you find most valuable about your AAEA membership?
I am constantly inspired by those I’m connected with in AAEA, ranging from other young professionals to the most seasoned veterans in the industry. It is a close-knit group with ag comm professionals willing to help and support each other, and I’ve been lucky enough to experience that first-hand.
