Rabbits in space? Not exactly, but this well-timed photo captured by AAEA Member Rob Mattson looks like at least one bunny is ready for launch!
Mattson aptly titled the image “Liftoff,” and won second place in the “Unpublished Photos” Category during the 2021 AAEA Communication Awards.
Some of the judges comments included:
“Whether this photo was the result of the fast eye or the photographer’s patience waiting for the right moment, it works for me!”
“Excellent storytelling photograph.”
Mattson won a total of five photography awards and one honorable mention at this years awards ceremony.
