Attend for the speakers, attend for the people, and attend for the unmatched experience.
1. The Speakers
Your registration at AMS this year guarantees hours of education and networking. If you haven’t checked the schedule yet, view it here. This year we feature big and local California names such as Karen Ross, the Secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture, Mike Wade from California Farm Water Coalition, Dan Keppen as a Senior Representative of the Coachella Valley Water District, and local Palm Springs photographer Rand Larson.
We have educational topics ranging from public relations and marketing to photography, design, and writing, so there is someone for everyone to learn from! We maximize your time with us with a few panels: Newsmaker – Water Management Panel for those curious about drought and water use and Public Relations Challenge & Success Stories from four women in the Public Relations industry.
2. The People
Did you know that ag communications and media professionals from around the country attend this event? From Farm Progress to Certified Angus Beef, Terrain to John Deere, the agriculture and the ag media industry will be there. If you’re passionate about photography, you’ll find your people here. If you love writing and journalism, you’ll certainly make friends. And most importantly, if you’re looking to advance in the ag journalism industry – this is where you’ll find terrific mentors through our networking and educational sessions.
3. The Experience
On Sunday night, Ag Media Summit will begin the summit with a themed welcome party so you can make those first new contacts. With special guests like Marilyn Monroe and a sponsor like John Deere- -this is a can’t-miss opening event! After premier sessions and delicious food on Monday and Tuesday, we’ll adjourn the conference with the closing banquet and area tours. The closing banquet is where we reveal the award winners for Lifetime Achievement Award, Distinguished Service Award, and “of The Year Awards” for photographer, writer, designer, etc. The banquet also includes a dinner which is being sponsored by Certified Angus Beef. You’ll come away full and inspired!
Then on Wednesday, for an additional fee, you can attend one of our California Ag Tours! Read more about them here.
