How are AAEA Communications Awards Scored?

Here’s a quick look at how many judges and how many points are allotted during the scoring of the AAEA Communications Awards.

Important Note: All entries in all awards contests are viewed by 2 judges. 

 

Design

Total Points Possible: 50

Criteria:  Design (30), Concept (10) and Message (10)

Digital & Social Media

Total Points Possible: 60

Criteria: Creativity/Quality/Clarity (60), Effective Use of Media (10), Success at Meeting Objectives (10). Appropriateness for Target Audience (10)

Marcomm

Total Points Possible: 50

Criteria: Creativity/quality/clarity(30) Success at meeting objectives (10), Appropriateness for target audience (10)

Writing

Total Points Possible: 40

Criteria: Clarity (10), Readability (10), Content (10), Use of Language (10) 

Photography

Total Points Possible: 40

Criteria: Technique and Craftsmanship:(10), Creativity (10), Aesthetics (10), Storytelling qualities (10)
