Help Us Improve Agricultural Communications Curriculum!
By Mackenzie R. Atkins, Graduate Assistant at University of Florida
My name is Mackenzie Atkins, and I am conducting research for my master’s thesis at the University of Florida. This study will identify competencies needed for high school agricultural communication courses; the data collected from this research will be used as a guide to assist educators across the US to create and implement agricultural communications curriculum for high school students.
I would like to invite you to participate in this study based on your status as an agricultural communications industry professional and membership with the Agricultural Communicators Network. Your valued response will help us help you by better preparing the next generation of agricultural communicators entering the workforce. This will be an opportunity for you to inform educators about what skills you want to see in students who may be future employees.
This study will use a “Delphi” technique, which will include two rounds of questionnaires. These will be administered by an online survey host, Qualtrics. The estimated time commitment for each Qualtrics questionnaire should not exceed 30 minutes. The link to the first survey is pasted below.
