These two don’t mind getting their hands dirty, if it means spending time together to bake a perfect peach pie.
AAEA Member and Freelancer Martha Mintz captured the two generations rolling out pie dough and titled the image, “Grandma’s Joy.”
The photo received an Honorable Mention in the “Rotating Theme: Joy” Category during the 2021 AAEA Communication Awards.
Some of the judges comments included:
“I think this is nice. The photo very nicely shows the generational bond, and no awareness of the camera and photographer.”
“Beautiful moment captured.”
The photo was published in an article within The Furrow magazine. Mintz won a total of five awards and four honorable mentions in both writing and photography categories at this years awards ceremony.
