ACN Constitution Updates

The board of the Agricultural Communicators Network (ACN) has made some suggested changes to the ACN Constitution.
It is a requirement that these changes be voted on by members. These changes must be provided to members no less than 30 days prior to the date of the meeting. Please consider this the member notice of the proposed changes below.
The ACN Business Meeting will be held at 1:45 PM on Tuesday, August 1 at the Renaissance Palm Springs in Palm Springs, CA. A vote will be held at that time on these changes, which are noted below.

TITLE: AAEA ACN Constitution
Section 1: The American Agricultural Editors’ Association (also known as AAEA) Agricultural Communicators Network (ACN) is a not-for-profit corporation, authorized by Articles of Incorporation filed with the Secretary of State of Illinois.
(C) Partner Membership shall be available to individuals employed by agribusiness companies, marketing and public relations agencies, commodity organizations, government agencies and others who support AAEA ACN but whose individual role does not have an editorial or content generation function. Communicators who primarily advocate for a position or are sponsored content providers are eligible for partner membership.
Section 3: The AAEA ACN Board shall meet at least twice each year usually at the time of the annual meeting of the Association and one other time as determined by the President.
