AAEA’s Professional Improvement Foundation is now accepting proposals for grant funds. The submission deadline is September 30.
PIF’s mission is to provide professional improvement programs to members and nonmembers in the field of agricultural communications, to support and promote the agricultural communications community, and to make scholarships and support internships and training for editors, writers and photographers in the field of agricultural communications.

Members can make a request for grant funds using this link.
Proposals will be reviewed and selected by PIF Trustees.
Historically, the foundation provides between $20,000 and $50,000 in grant funds each year.
“The Professional Improvement Foundation trustees are passionate about supporting the success of our members in the ag media industry,” says Julie Deering, chair of the foundation. “This call for proposals will allow us to ensure that we are meeting members needs for professional development across career stage—from students, to early career professionals, and retired, or second-career members.”
Questions about the grant process should be directed to Samantha Kilgore, skilgore@asginfo.net.
