It’s the season to pay it forward. What better way to do so than by giving the future of our industry a world of opportunities from which to learn and grow?
By hosting an intern in 2022, you can support a young person’s professional development and future career in editorial and marketing communications.
Through AAEA Professional Improvement Foundation grants and contributions from industry leaders, the two annual internships are offered to qualified agricultural communications students.
Students Sarah Meghrian (University of Illinois) and Baylee Hogan (Oklahoma State University) received internships in 2021. Hear what they have to say about their experiences:
“My summer internship with Illinois Soybean Association allowed me to grow as a writer and learn more about what I want out of a future career. It was an amazing opportunity that I would highly recommend to anyone interested,” Sarah Meghrian said.

“I believe I flourished as an intern because of the mentoring I received at broadhead marketing agency. I loved working in the public relations department. My supervisor gave me projects that took me out of my comfort zone and broadened my horizons,” Baylee Hogan stated.
