Like many ACN members, Jordan Reynolds was raised around agriculture. He grew up on a hobby farm in South Central Iowa and was active in both 4-H and FFA.
After high school, he went to the University of Northern Iowa to study videography and media production.
“In Iowa, it’s really common to step into sports media when you start working in college,” Jordan said. “I initially started working with the Chicago Bulls as my internship.”
After working in the fast-paced world of sports, he found himself looking for a change. In late 2023, he joined the communications team at the Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association. This role brought him back to his agricultural roots, working at expos such as the Iowa Ag Expo.
Today, Jordan is the video and audio producer at Successful Farming. He spends his days creating videos, podcasts and custom projects for clients such as the National FFA Organization.
“I get to take people’s stories and not just tell them but show them,” he explained. “I get to create visual art that represents exactly how someone feels, whether it’s excited or emotional or sad, and I get to express that broadly to an audience who can feel the same impact.”
In his role, he enjoys touching every sector of the ag industry, from crop and livestock production to fish farming and beekeeping.
Jordan’s coworkers encouraged him to join ACN, and he’s excited to get more involved with the communications contest and committees.
Outside of work, Jordan describes himself as a “big outdoorsman.” He enjoys backpacking in national parks, being involved in his sand volleyball league, and spending time with his wife and dogs at home in Des Moines, Iowa.
