Growing up in eastern North Carolina, I spent over 10 years scouting cotton for my father’s independent ag consulting company. My uncles on my mother’s side of the family farmed cotton, soybeans, corn, tobacco, and other crops. I watched people I respect try to learn anything that would improve their farm or the farming operations they supported.
The agriculture industry is a tight-knit group. It is a small community that spans many miles and I’m reminded of that every time I meet someone who went through the same ag school as my family members, worked with someone I knew in the past or has paid a visit to an old friend’s farm. Now I am proud to work on Syngenta Thrive® magazine because I understand the impact that high quality information has on the farm and in the lives of people I care about.
“It is important for our readers to find the support they need in Thrive,“ says Pam Caraway, editor-in-chief for Syngenta Thrive magazine. “Our goal is for subscribers to find solutions to the challenges they face. Whether that comes from regulatory information, updates on the newest agronomic practices, product information or partnership opportunities, we want every issue to put answers at our readers’ fingertips.”
