IFAJ-Alltech Young Leaders

Since 2005, the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) and Alltech have partnered to support the Young Leaders in Agricultural Journalism Award that recognizes the leadership potential of young members from countries belonging to IFAJ.

The IFAJ-Alltech Young Leaders in Agricultural Journalism Award recognizes the leadership potential of young members from countries belonging to IFAJ and supports their participation at an IFAJ Congress through this award, designed to help offset travel and registration.

The process:

  1. Young professionals from ACN (and all other IFAJ guilds) apply via the website. Deadline is usually early April.
  2. ACN’s international committee reviews the American applicants and picks the single ACN nominee.
  3. IFAJ and Alltech representatives pick the top 10 individuals to earn the award and trip to Bootcamp and IFAJ Congress.

IFAJ Contests

IFAJ’s contests celebrate excellence in the work of agricultural journalists and communicators across print, photography, audio, video, and online media.

Members of IFAJ guilds in good standing are invited to submit their work for the Star Prize, with a limit of two entries per person. Additionally, country guilds may submit their award-winning entries in a separate category.

All entries are judged on how effectively they tell the story within the given themes and format.
