I’m only 24 years old. So, I can’t quite share yet what I wish I had known in my 20s. I’m still learning! However, Holly Spangler and I brought on a guest that we thought would bring a great perspective.
Today on the podcast, JoAnn Alumbaugh, president and CEO of Alumbaugh Communications, joins us to share her career advice of what she wishes she would have known in her 20s. We discuss taking and giving constructive criticism, how to say, “no or not right now,” why you shouldn’t send that email, the importance of mentorship, and so. much. more. No matter your age, this is great episode for ag communicators in all stages of their career.
My message to all young professionals out there: get involved. Whether it be the contests, special interest groups, or being on a committee, there are so many opportunities through this organization. Do it – send that email right now. As JoAnn says in this episode, you’ll receive more than you give.
Please subscribe to our podcast in iTunes and Google Play and you’ll be notified of when each episode is released. As always, shoot me an email if you have any guest or topic recommendations!
