Judy Rupnow, Senior Counselor, Morganmyers
Judy Rupnow is the senior counselor responsible for MorganMyers’ member-driven associations team. From the American Farm Bureau Federation to Foremost Farms dairy cooperative and numerous state farmer-led ag associations, Judy is the go-to resource for strategic planning, research, member communications and leadership training. She’s been at the forefront of farmer-to-consumer trust- building communications initiatives for the Illinois Farm Families Coalition, Illinois Beef Association and the Illinois Corn Marketing Board. She spearheads Foremost Farms’ marketing and brand communications work including a rebranding effort. Other skills in Judy’s toolbox include program strategy, special event design and implementation, relationship management, media relations, advertising and audience cultivation.
Corey Geiger, Managing Editor, Hoard’s Dairyman
Geiger joined the Hoard’s Dairyman editorial staff in 1995 as associate editor. As a member of the editorial team, he has traveled to dairy farms or attended meetings in 46 states while covering the dairy industry. He has also traveled to six Canadian provinces and six other countries and has given presentations in 17 states and three foreign countries. During his tenure, he was promoted to senior associate editor and assistant managing editor. In 2013, Geiger was named managing editor. His duties include preparing editorial commentary and Washington news. Geiger also is responsible for the magazine’s coverage of milk marketing, dairy policy, dairy product promotion, reproduction, genetics, business planning, and production costs. He coordinates annual Hoard’s Dairyman Cow Judging Contest and cover photo selection. He is involved with the magazine’s Hoard’s Dairyman farm and maintains close ties and ownership in his home dairy farm which dates back to 1867. In 2008, Geiger received the Andy Markwart Horizon Award from the American Agricultural Editor’s Association (AAEA).
Steve Werblow, Freelance Writer/Photographer
Steve Werblow has been a freelance writer/photographer based in Ashland, Oregon, since 1995. A contributing editor to The Furrow and Homestead, Steve values his long relationships with clients including John Deere, the Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC), Alliance Tire, Xylem and others. Steve started his career with Gibbs & Soell in 1988 after graduating from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University. He has been honored as an AAEA Master Writer, Master Photographer, and 2011 Writer of the Year. An active volunteer, Steve has been a member of the AAEA and PIF boards over the years, and currently serves as Secretary-General of the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ).
