Are you 40 and under and looking for a great opportunity to be recognized internationally for some of the leadership roles you have now or had in the past?
The International Federation of Journalists is accepting nominations until Dec. 18, 2020 for the IFAJ-Alltech International Award for Leadership in Agricultural Journalism.
The award recognizes a young agricultural journalist who has demonstrated excellence and leadership within their own IFAJ guild. This award is in honor of Dr. Pearse Lyons, founder of Alltech, who was an inspirational leader and communicator.
The 2021 IFAJ-Alltech International Award for Leadership in Agricultural Journalism will be presented at the Alltech ONE Virtual Experience in May 2021.
The young journalist, age 40 or younger by Dec. 31, 2020, will be selected by an international committee based on their professional skill, achievements and leadership within their Guild.
The application form can be found here, and includes questions such as:
- Please list any leadership roles you have or have had in your guild, industry or community. (Up to 300 words)
- Have you won any awards or earned any diplomas? Please tell us about them. (Up to 300 words)
- What would you like to say about yourself, agricultural journalism and leadership? (Up to 300 words)
You will need to include three example of your work, as well as a statement of support from an editor, supervisor or other appropriate reference. (Up to 300 words)
Check out the application form for more details.
As an individual IFAJ member submitting this application, please be advised that it is being received by IFAJ and will be forwarded to your Guild (in this case, AAEA) for consideration in AAEA’s nomination process. Each IFAJ member guild will nominate one candidate from amongst the applications received from their country.
