Unveiling the Theme and Logo for Ag Media Summit 2022

By Kenna Rathai, 2022 AMS Steering Committee Chair

Do you have it in your calendar yet? The 2022 Ag Media Summit will be July 16-20, in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Thanks to broadhead for designing the logo based on input from the AMS Steering Committee. And  — thank you to our steering committee members who help shape the direction of this meeting:  LPC representatives Shelia Grobosky and Erin Worrell, ACN representatives Mindy Ward and Bill Spiegel, and Connectiv members Matt Herman and Jeff Moore. And special thanks to our staff and event managers Samantha Kilgore and Lindsay Graber Runft. I’m proud to serve with this great group of smart people!

Now let’s talk about why we chose the theme and design.

(Logo Courtesy: broadhead)

THEME:  “On Point” was chosen as the theme of the meeting for a few reasons:

Raleigh is near the area known as Research Triangle Park, which is the leading and largest high technology research and science park in North America, and home to many big agriculture companies. The greater region is known as the Triangle region.

Building on the idea of the points in a triangle, attendees are looking to “stay on point” meaning, sharpen their skills, be on their game, get things right.

A triangle also represents the three organizations that govern Ag Media Summit.

LOGO:

The blue color represents one of the main colors of the North Carolina state flag.

The repetition of three triangles are depicted to represent the three Tri Point/research triangle cities and the three governing bodies of AMS.

The triangles pointing to the target at the bottom represents our drive for “staying on point.”

MORE DETAILS TO COME:

Stay tuned to the Ag Communicators Network’s Facebook page, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts, plus the ByLine newsletter, the LPC ActionGram and the Ag Media Summit Facebook page for more details and announcements.
