We make every opportunity a learning opportunity. Members grow personally and professionally by engaging in
workshops and webinars on writing, social media, ethics and more! Participants in our awards contests receive constructive criticism from their peers. AAEA also partners with the AAEA Professional Improvement Foundation and the International Federation of Ag Journalists to provide international learning experiences.

Come to the Ag Media Summit, a joint meeting between AAEA, Livestock Publications Council, and the ABM AgriCouncil and be a part of the largest gathering of crop and livestock media professionals in the U.S. AAEA also hosts regional meetings, workshops and webinars for our members to grow their professional skills and cultivate
contacts from around the country.

You are an editorial staff member of a general or specialized farm publication published in the United States or Canada and which either (1) has paid circulation or (2) accepts advertising on a paid basis. If you are a freelancer, list the companies or publications you have worked for in the past year.
You are engaged in editorial, photographic or public relations work directly related to agriculture but which does not meet the qualifications of an active member. Or, if you are engaged in agriculture communications work with a governmental agency, an educational institution or a charitable non-profit institution or foundation.
You pay your own dues (not paid by a publishing company or entity other than themselves).
Your agricultural communications enterprise is primarily based on blogging.
$65 first year
$130 each year after
You are retired. Retired memberships are available for either active or affiliate members who are retiring and at least 62 years of age.
You are a full-time student enrolled in an approved agricultural communications curriculum.
New Member Special
This is your first year of membership and you qualify as an active member or affiliate member. This rate is only good for one year.

*Memberships are based on a calendar year. Membership renewals begin October 1st.
